How does creator balance work?

Paid gifts are credited to the creator’s ArcticSender balance first. The creator can request a cashout when their balance is available and their bank payout setup is ready.

How do cashouts work?

Creators connect a bank payout account through Stripe Express. ArcticSender uses that setup for cashouts only, so supporter payments do not go straight to the creator’s Stripe balance.

What fees are included?

ArcticSender adds a 10% sender-covered processing fee at checkout. This keeps gifting simple: for a $1.00 gift, the sender pays $1.10 and the creator receives $1.00 in their website balance. The fee helps cover payment processing, hosting, support, fraud prevention, and creator tools.

What does the creator see?

The creator sees the public name and message the sender chooses to share. Receipt email stays private and is used for payment support and receipts.

Can gifters use the cart without logging in?

Yes. Gifters can add wishlist items or custom gifts to a cart and check out without creating an account.

How does currency conversion work?

Creators are credited in USD. When another checkout currency is selected, the amount is estimated before Stripe checkout and Stripe shows the final payment amount before payment.

How are uploaded images handled?

Profile, banner, and gift images are optimized for fast loading. When Mongo storage is enabled, uploaded images are backed up so they can be restored after a server restart or redeploy.

How is ArcticSender different from Throne-style wishlists?

ArcticSender is built to feel cleaner, faster, and more direct than bulky Throne-style wishlists: simple cash gifts, carts, creator balances, clean public pages, and a polished gifters leaderboard.
